Prevocational Services

Lakeside Curative Services'

Prevocational Services involve the provision of learning and work experiences where a participant can develop general, non-job-task-specific strengths and skills that contribute to employability in paid employment in integrated, community settings.  Services occur over a defined period of time as determined by the participant and his/her care planning team in the ongoing participant-centered planning process. Services specifically involve strategies that enhance a participant’s employability in integrated, community settings.  Competitive employment or supported employment are considered successful outcomes of Prevocational Services.

The Facility-Based Work Service is offered at 2503 Lincolnwood Court. The building meets all ADA requirements.  Our services are available to non-English speaking people and hearing impaired clients. We currently have members on staff that can communicate through Spanish and through sign language. If the signers cannot perform to the level required, outside interpreters will be brought in.

Our program has been designed by using the standards set by CARF. This is an accreditation that guarantees you, as an agency, that we meet the standards expected from a vocational service provider.
